There has been a hairdresser on this site since the 1930's. It was just a small shop in those days. The present owner took over in 1964. In 1988 the shop next door was purchased and the two converted to make the salon as it is today. In 2004 we celebrated our 40th anniversary. Our aim has always been to be the best barbershop in the area.

We have worked very hard over the years to continually develop the business and bring in new ideas. We specialize in hairdressing for men and boys. The salon doesn't look, as you would imagine a barbershop to look. A lot of people are misled into thinking that we could be a ladies or unisex salon.

However we still run a traditional barbershop system of no appointments. We find that this works well for us. Men lead very busy lives. Mostly they don't know where or what they will be doing from one day to the next. That's the way they like it! The fact that they don't have to make an appointment is a distinct advantage. When suddenly finding a spare hour what better way to spend it. Just sit back and relax with a good cup of coffee, read the paper or the latest magazines, and get a first class haircut.
